This is the second meeting between the Huskies and MacEwan Griffins in 2017. The Huskies won 2-1 in Edmonton on Sept. 2.

- Lahai Mansaray has provided the bulk of the offence for MacEwan scoring four of the Griffin's eight goals in 2017.
Scouting The Golden Bears
- The No. 1 ranked Alberta Golden Bears are first in the Canada West Prairie Division with a 6-1-1 record.
- The only blemish on the season for the Golden Bears was a 2-0 loss to the Trinity Western Spartans at home last weekend.
