The University of Saskatchewan Huskies scored two goals seven minutes apart for a comeback 2-1 victory over the visiting University of Calgary Dinos Saturday afternoon on Field 7 in PotashCorp Park.

Saskatchewan had been down in the match since the four-minute mark of the first of two meetings between the teams in the 2017 Canada West men's soccer season.

Marcello Gonzalez got his head on the ball after a corner kick by Gabriel Buatois in the 70th minute. Just seven minutes later, Buatois sent in another ball on a free kick from the right side just outside the box. Tyler Redl found a foot on it in the crowd to kick it by Colton Borle in the 77th minute to take the lead.

With the win, the Huskies improve to 4-2-0 in the Canada West men's soccer standings. Calgary drops to 2-2-0.

Calgary jumped on the board quickly scoring just four minutes into the match. The Dinos were able to keep the ball around the Huskies' box after a free kick 25-yards out. Bori Falaye's shot sailed into the top right corner past a diving Patrick Pranger.

Prior to the scoring midway through the second half, Saskatchewan had three chances to tie the game. Early in the second a Saskatchewan goal was called back on an offside, and just minutes before the Gonzalez goal Redl missed a header on a wide open net and a shot hit the cross bar.

Pranger finished the match making one save, while Borle made three at the other end of the pitch for the Dinos. Saskatchewan outshot Calgary 13-3.

Saskatchewan travels to meet the UBC Okanagan Heat and Trinity Western Spartans next weekend, while Calgary travels to meet the UBC Thunderbirds and Fraser Valley Cascades.
